What "refurbished" actually means with us
A lot of "refurbished" computers online are just used machines someone wiped and resold. Ours are different. Each refurbished machine we sell goes through:
- Full hardware testing. RAM, storage, battery (if laptop), screen, ports, keyboard, fans, charger.
- Clean Windows install. Latest version of Windows, fully updated. No leftover files from previous owners.
- SSD upgrade. Most of our refurbished machines get an SSD if they didn't already have one — so they feel fast, not just functional.
- RAM upgrade if applicable. Bumped to a usable amount (8GB minimum, often 16GB).
- Battery test (laptops). Honest assessment of remaining battery life. We'll tell you if it's good, fair, or needs replacement.
- Real warranty. If something we missed fails after you take it home, we make it right.
Who refurbished is right for
- Students. Reliable laptop for school at half the price of new.
- Parents getting a kid their first computer. No need to spend $1,000 if they don't need it yet.
- Seniors. Email, browsing, video calls — a refurbished computer does it all without the new-computer price tag.
- Backup or secondary computers. Need a basic machine for the kitchen, garage, or guest room.
- Small businesses. Reliable workstations at a much lower per-unit cost.
What we don't do
We don't sell junk. If a machine isn't going to deliver real value at its price, we don't put it out. That's why we don't always have a huge inventory — only computers we'd be comfortable selling to our own family.
