Honest answers to the questions customers ask most. Don't see yours? Just call — we don't charge for questions.
📞 Call (440) 596-0009How much does a computer repair cost?
Every computer problem is different, so we never quote a price over the phone without seeing what's going on. The diagnosis is always free. Once we know what's wrong, we give you a flat, honest price before we touch anything. You decide whether to move forward — no pressure either way.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
No. The diagnosis is always free — whether you decide to move forward with the repair or not. We'll tell you what's wrong, what it costs to fix, and whether it's even worth fixing. No pressure, no fine print.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most repairs are same-day when possible. Simple fixes like virus removal or a speed tune-up are often done in a few hours. Bigger jobs — motherboard issues, data recovery from a failed drive — can take longer, but we'll always give you an honest turnaround estimate up front.
Do you make house calls?
Yes — onsite service is available across our service area for problems that can't easily come to us (network issues, multi-computer setups, business systems). Just call and we'll let you know if onsite is the right call for your situation.
What areas do you serve?
We serve nine cities across the West Shore of Ohio: North Ridgeville, Westlake, Bay Village, Rocky River, Avon, Avon Lake, Elyria, Sheffield Village, and Sheffield Lake — plus surrounding parts of Lorain County and Cuyahoga County.
Are you open on weekends?
Yes! We're open every day, 7 AM to 7 PM, including Saturdays and Sundays. Most of our competitors are closed weekends — we know computer trouble doesn't wait, so we don't either.
Will I lose my files when you fix my computer?
We always back up your important files before doing anything risky. If a repair could affect your data, we tell you in advance and protect your stuff first. We treat your files like they're irreplaceable — because for most people, they are.
Can you fix my computer if it won't turn on?
Usually, yes. We diagnose dead computers for free. The problem might be the power supply, RAM, motherboard, or just a dead battery — we figure out what it actually is and tell you the real cost to fix. Even if the computer itself is beyond repair, we can almost always rescue your files.
Do you sell computers?
Yes — we sell quality refurbished computers (fully tested, clean Windows install, real warranty), and we build custom PCs for gaming, workstations, and home use. We don't resell new computers from big-box stores — for that, we just give you honest advice on what to buy.
Do you remove viruses?
Yes, this is one of the most common things we do. We remove viruses, malware, popups, browser hijacks, ransomware (when possible), and the fake 'Microsoft warning' infections that scare people into calling scammers. Free diagnosis.
My computer is REALLY slow. Can you fix it?
Almost always, yes — and usually for far less than buying a new one. The most common fix is upgrading from an old hard drive to a fast SSD, often with a RAM upgrade. Boot times typically drop from minutes to seconds. Bring it in and we'll tell you exactly what would help.
I think I got scammed by a fake tech support call. What do I do?
Disconnect from the internet right away if you gave them remote access. Don't pay them anything else. Bring the computer in — we'll check for malware they may have installed and help you secure your accounts. Report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Read our free scam guide for more details.
Can you help if I'm not very good with computers?
Absolutely — that's exactly who we love working with. We don't talk down to anyone, we explain things in plain English, and we're happy to take the time to actually teach you what's going on if you want to learn. We also offer one-on-one computer training for people who want to feel more confident.
Do you support small businesses?
Yes — we've been working with West Shore small businesses for 16 years. Computer repair, network setup, backups, email, security, employee onboarding, the whole picture. No long contracts, no surprise charges, just real help when you need it.
Do you work on Macs?
We handle Mac software issues — slow Macs, macOS troubleshooting, data recovery, email setup, virus removal, file migration, printer setup, and more. For hardware repairs that require Apple-authorized parts (like newer MacBook screens or logic boards), we'll honestly point you to Apple.
Is my data safe with you?
Yes. We treat customer data with strict confidentiality — we don't browse your files, we don't share or sell anything, and any work we do is just to fix the problem you brought us. 16 years and zero complaints on this.
Do you offer warranties on your work?
Yes. Our labor is warrantied, and parts we install carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 1–3 years on most components, lifetime on RAM). If something we did doesn't hold, we make it right.
How do I know if I should fix or replace my computer?
We'll tell you honestly. Generally, if a repair costs more than 50% of a comparable new computer and the machine is more than 5 years old, replacement is usually smarter. We'll never push a repair when replacement would save you money — we want you back as a customer for years, not for one job.
